Things to do after a tooth extraction
  • Take pain medication as needed
  • Avoid spitting, smoking or straws to prevent clot dislodging
  • Use moist gauze or a tea bag to slow down bleeding (gradually decreases in 1-3 days)
  • Stay on a soft diet until area feels back to normal
  • Rinse your mouth with salt water to reduce post infection
